Early field introduction is not hunting and it is not formal pattern training. It is a controlled way for the young dog to explore natural cover, experience scent carried by wind and terrain and develop confidence in outdoor environments.
These sessions are short, enjoyable and designed to build curiosity without creating pressure. The dog is allowed to move, investigate and learn how the environment behaves while feeling safe.
The objective at this stage is simple. The dog should feel free to explore, use its senses and discover how cover, wind and ground interact. The handler observes the dog’s natural tendencies, energy level, independence and emerging hunting style.
No correction, no control work and no expectations of structured patterning are introduced here. This is pure field education through experience.
